PANSA ARES 1.0

Abstract

PANSA ARES provided by the CAT (Common Airspace Tool - ASM Support System used at PANSA) system enables standardised and real‑time exchange of information on static airspace structures, reservations and their activations/deactivations. It provides data on airspace and its status, but also accepts requests for airspace reservations. The service allows authorised external systems to request or subscribe to updates, supporting improved situational awareness and coordination in airspace management processes. PANSA ARES implements selected SWIM service interfaces compliant with EUROCONTROL specifications, ensuring interoperability and harmonised information exchange with other ATM stakeholders at local and FAB level.

PANSA is responsible for air traffic management and navigation services in Poland. The key activities of the organisation include airspace management and ensuring safe and efficient flow of air traffic. Every day, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) takes care of the safety of passengers of about 2 500 aircraft moving over Poland, and coordinates thousands of drone flights out of nearly 1 million registered in the PansaUTM system. The airspace we supervise and control covers more than 334 000 square kilometers and is one of the largest in Europe.
