SELF_VALIDATION
Validation Steps
EAD is a certified service, compliant with the applicable EU regulatory framework, including, but not limited to, COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2017/373.
The validation process is part of software development methodology covered in an assessment and verification management plan approved by the EAD Oversight Authority.
Validation Steps:
* SQT (Software Quality Test) / FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) dry run
* FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
* SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
The whole process is subject to EASA oversight and is formalised with a letter of acceptance.

The algorithm used to produce forecast data has been validated by a selected group of Met Office Aviation Application scientists.

The service is subject to systematic and intensive SELF_VALIDATION.
