The downloaded IWXXM data (.xml) will return all the information within a single file. This will adhere to the schema IWXXM Schematrons published here: https://schemas.wmo.int/iwxxm/
Note: up until late November 2025 the 2025-2R1 schematron is used, and when the final candidate version published (version 2025-2) the system will be updated to reflect it. If further changes are made to the schematrons by WMO further updates will be made, potentially coordinated with the other VAAC’s and you will be notified in advance that it will be changing.
The VAAC London Quantitative Volcanic Ash Products API adheres to the schema IWXXM Schematrons version 2025-2R1.
