Abstract

This NM B2B Service supports the submission of flight plans to the EUROCONTROL Network Manager, in accordance with the ICAO FF-ICE Filing Service specification.The service is provided by the EUROCONTROL Network Manager (NM), with the geographical extent of the IFPZ, and is in operations since April 2021. The service is part of the NM B2B FF-ICE Services group.The service includes all the facilities to file a new flight plan, to update an existing flight plan and to cancel a flight plan, using FIXM data model and messages, complemented with NM extension to cover the European specificities, and provides feedback to the operator regarding whether the flight plan was successfully processed, and whether it is acceptable.This service is targeted for airspace users and any other organisations involved in flight planning activities, and is provided in accordance with the ICAO FF-ICE/R1 specifications. Access to filing status and submission response can be done via the request/reply operations of this service and via the NM B2B Publish/Subscribe (P/S). The P/S is the ideal means of getting the filing status in a timely manner.
