        "serviceAbstract": "<p>Convection forecast product using a multimodel approach and delivered as a&nbsp;<strong>WFS (GeoJSON) SWIM webservice</strong>.&nbsp;</p><p>Thunderstorms&nbsp;are a major cause of disruption of Air Traffic Management network. Convection forecast is designed to support Flight Management operations and Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management process.</p><p>The multimodel algorithm integrates different parameters coming from different weather models (DWD, M\u00e9t\u00e9oFrance, &nbsp;NOAA) that can indicate the probability of thunderstorms.</p><p>A weighting is applied to each parameter and model then the whole is assimilated to provide a homogeneous output including&nbsp;<strong>a confidence index&nbsp;parameter</strong>.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>Convection forecast characteristics are:</p><p>- +24H forecast by 1 hour step</p><p>- 10km geographical resolution over Europe</p><p>- Refresh&nbsp;every time a model is updated&nbsp;(average of 9&nbsp;updates/day)</p><p>- Delivery as convective cells with a severity level and a confidence index.</p><p>- Ensured quality of service through Service Level Agreement</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This innovative product has been tested and validated during summer 2020 in the context of SESAR ENGAGE project&nbsp;<a href=\"https://fracs.aero/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/WAC2020_A4_SESAR_ENGAGE_V3.pdf\">MET ENHANCED ATFCM</a>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
